Identity separation

• Stage name with no connection to your real name
• Dedicated creator email address
• Separate phone number for creator accounts where possible
• Usernames never reused from personal accounts
• Personal social media set to private
• No mutual friends or contacts between creator and personal accounts

Account security

• Unique, strong password for every account
• Two-factor authentication turned on everywhere
• Password manager in use
• Recovery email and phone number are yours and up to date
• Active sessions and connected apps reviewed
• Login details never shared with anyone you don't fully trust

Content safety

• Location tagging turned off on your camera
• Metadata stripped from every photo and video
• Backgrounds checked for windows, mail, and recognisable decor
• Reflections checked in mirrors and glasses
• Watermark on all content

Platform settings

• Geo-blocking set for your home city, region, or country
• Profile reviewed for any personal details
• Bio and captions free of identifying information

Conversations

• Consistent, fictional answers ready for personal questions
• Never share your real location, plans, or travel in real time
• Never move fans to your personal accounts
• Block and report anyone who makes you uncomfortable

Money

• Separate bank account for creator income
• Spoken with an accountant about the right setup for your country

If content leaks

• Screenshot and record the URLs where it appears
• Send takedown (DMCA) requests to the hosting sites
• Consider a professional takedown service
• Check that your watermarks are visible on new content
